The resident of Sagamu road in Abeokuta reportedly committed the offence on Saturday the 15th of July around 9:30pm.
A Magistrates’ Court in Abeokuta yesterday remanded a man identified as Joshua Oyapidan for allegedly stabbing his 11-year-old son in an attempt to kill him.
According to the Police Prosecutor handling the case, Oyapidan attempted killing his son but the attack was foiled when neighbours intervened.
The accused however blamed the devil for the act, saying it wasn’t intentional.
He has been remanded in prison pending receipt of legal advice from the DPP.
He will return to court on September 1st for hearing.
