Detectives attached to the Zonal Intervention Squad (ZIS), Zone 2 Police Command, Onikan, Lagos State, have arrested four men in connection with cultism, robbery and attempted murder. The Zonal Police Public Relations Officer (ZPPRO), Dolapo Badmos, said the suspects were arrested after the police received tip-off that a man, Biodun Rabiu, was receiving treatment for gunshot wounds at local bone setter’s house.

Rabiu confessed to be an armed robber, who had once been in prison, but later released in 2016. After his arrest at the bone setter’s house, Rabiu fingered Dauda Ayoade, Olaoye Popoola, Segun Ariyike and Azeez as members of his robbery gang.
Azeez, however, is still at large. According to Rabiu, he met one of the suspects, Ariyike at a club. He later begged Ariyike to allow him ride with him on his motorbike. Rabiu said it was from there that they both proceeded to hijack a motorcycle.
He noted that they used the motorbike last year to carry out an operation. The suspect also confessed to have received a gun for operation from another person, Enny, who is also at large.
