The Lagos Government is set to execute inmates on death row in the state prisons, including the General-Overseer of the Christian Praying Assembly, Reverend King.

2 The religious cleric underwent basic education at Premier Primary School, Onitsha and later obtained a degree in Psychology at the Nnamdi Azikiwe University.
3 He rose to nationwide recognition following the alleged murder of a church member, Ann Uzoh in 2006
4 He was arraigned on September 26, 2006 on a six-count charge of attempted murder and murder but he pleaded not guilty to all the charges.
5 A total of 10 witnesses came forward, swore with either a Bible or Koran and testified to the fact that Reverend King was the perpetrator and that he was guilty.
6 Rev. King was sentenced to death by the Lagos State High Court, Ikeja, on January 11, 2007 for the murder of Ann Uzoh.
8 The case was taken to the highest court in Nigeria, the Supreme Court which on 26 February 2017, ironically his birthday agreed to follow the original verdict in 2007, which read, that he should be put to death by hanging.
9 From 2006–2017, 11 years, Rev. King had been in jail without any option of bail, as evidence against him was highly incriminating.
