The circumstances surrounding the brutal murder of one Mr. Solomon Ejor, an iron bender/welder from Urhuoka – Abraka who was hacked to death by Fulani herdsmen on Monday, April 24 has been revealed.

According to LIB, new details have emerged on the circumstances surrounding his death. Eyewitnesses from the community revealed that the deceased usually spray insecticides on his farm for protection but the herdsmen had earlier warned him not to spray it as their animals would be grazing on his farmland.

“The herdsmen earlier warned him to stop using the insecticides because it kills their cattle should in case their cattle graze the cassava. But the deceased needed to protect his crops against insects and pests.

“As at 3pm, Monday 24th, lreport has it that all Hausas in Abraka were fully armed to the teeth to the full view of everyone even the military.

“In the recent past, each time Solo Ejor’s mother go to her farm, the Fulani heardsmen will warn her not to come back to the farm.

“She was said to have gone to the farm on this said day to cultivate her cassava for the days market sales, because that is the only way for her to survive.  

“While working in the farm, the Fulani herdsmen appeared suddenly with guns, battle axes and other dangerous weapons and started pursuing the old woman. She used her wisdom as her strength can not help her to outrun the rampaging herdsmen by hiding somewhere.

“When the Abokis could not catch her but continued the search, she managed to call the son, Solo Ejor. Ejor went to the farm to search and rescue his lovely mother to safety before the dangerous herdsmen pounced on her but unfortunately he was killed during the process.

The mother of the deceased is still alive. She has been taken to her village, Ogbeje-Urhuoka.” an eyewitness said.

Drama as Airline Passengers are Caught With Cocaine Inside Their Pants (Photo)

Some air passengers have startled many fellow travelers and officials after they were caught with cocaine in their pants.

Customs and Border Protection officers in New York arrested not one, but two travelers arriving on the same flight attempting to transport illegal drugs into the United States.

WTVR reports that on April 19, Mr. Ariel Garcia, a United States Citizen, arrived at John F. Kennedy International Airport from Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic and presented himself for inspection.

Garcia was subsequently escorted to a private search room where CBP officers conducted a physical search of his person. During the search, the officers discovered packages taped to his legs.

The packages contained a white powder that tested positive for cocaine. Approximately 11 lbs. of cocaine was seized, with an estimated street value of more than $180,000.

Meanwhile, Mr. Elvin Montilla-Sosa, a citizen of the Dominican Republic, who arrived on the same flight presented himself for inspection.

Mr. Montilla-Sosa was subsequently escorted to a private search room where CBP officers conducted a physical search of his person. During the search, the officers discovered packages taped to his legs and back.

The packages contained a white powder that tested positive for cocaine. Approximately 12 lbs. of cocaine was seized, with an estimated street value of more than $200,000.

“This latest seizure demonstrates our CBP officers being ever vigilant in protecting the United States from the distribution of these illicit drugs,” said Leon Hayward, Acting Director of CBP’s New York Field Operations.

CBP officers placed them both under arrest and turned them over to Homeland Security Investigations (HSI). They now face federal narcotics smuggling charges and will be prosecuted by the U.S. Attorney’s Office in the U.S. Eastern District Court of New York.

All defendants are considered innocent until proven guilty.

Residents of the Kola Bustop, Alagbado, Lagos state today woke up to the rude shock of the discovery of a baby being placed around a refuse dump in the area.

The baby was covered in a Celestial Church garment beside the stinking refuse dump. Nobody had any details about the identity of the parents of the innocent child whose fate is currently gloomy.

Further information from the social media user who exposed it reveals the child might be dead as he was sleeping all through with people expressing fear about touching him.

A Nigerian man has shared photos of a long cobra snake which was killed by some corpers at a lodge. According to the poster, it could be because of the bushy area that attracted the deadly snake to their lodge. The snake is said to be at least six feet long.

The unnamed man wrote: "Never knew we were living with this monster until last night. Please if you a Corp member and living in 'Sambisa' as ours do ensure to use flash light at night."

The operatives of the Indonesian Police Force, have on Wednesday, shot dead a Nigerian man suspected to be a drug smuggler in Central Jakarta.  

An alleged Nigerian drug smuggler was shot dead after resisting arrest in Tanah Tinggi, Central Jakarta on Wednesday.

Jakarta Police Chief Insp. Gen. M. Iriawan said the police shot Douglas Hope Onyebuchi, aka Kabaka, who was a suspect in a drug smuggling case in Kelapa Gading, North Jakarta.

The police, Iriawan said, coordinated with the Directorate General of Customs and Excise to track Onyebuchi and his Indonesian wife Yani Andriani, after being suspected of smuggling a package containing two kilograms of methamphetamine from Guangzhou, China. 

“Some drugs were shipped from Guangzhou, disguised in pairs of sandals. We later followed the shipment to Jl. Cengkir Raya in Kelapa Gading,” said Iriawan.

The police said Andriani was seen watching the package be placed inside one of the rooms in the dorm house. “We watched her for two days until we concluded that she was a suspect.”

The police proceeded to arrest Andriani. Further investigations led police to another location on Jl. Maladewa in Tanah Tinggi, where Kabaka was hiding.

“During his arrest, he fought back and tried to grab one of the officers’ guns. Therefore, we had no choice but to take him down,” he said.

A civil servant, Micheal Ayinde, on Wednesday, pleaded with an Igando Customary Court in Lagos to end his marriage because of his wife’s penchant for making babies.

Ayinde, 39, told the court that his wife, whose name he gave as Glory, enjoyed “giving births at will’’.

According to him, Glory has made six children within the nine-year duration of their marriage.

Ayinde explained that before he married Glory, he had warned her that he needed only two kids, irrespective of their gender so that he could afford their upkeep.

He said that Glory reached an agreement with him on the matter, only for her to discard the agreement.

“My lord, my wife wants to kill me with children; she is bearing them like rats. My wife agreed to have two kids with me but after marriage, she started having children like rats, in nine years, she delivered six children.

“She was sacked from her workplace just because she gets pregnant immediately after she resumed from a maternity leave.

“I have sold my cars and some of my property to cater for the children. After she had the fourth baby, I begged her to go for family planning, she refused. 

“I had to force her to the hospital for a family planning device but she went secretly to deactivate it without my consent.

“Some months later, she went to her parent’s place and sent me a text message that she was pregnant. She did not return home until after delivering and naming the baby in her parent’s place.”

Ayinde said that on Dec. 24, 2016, Glory left home again for her parent’s place, where she called again that was pregnant and that she would be back after delivering.

“Last month, she called me that she had delivered and named the baby, David. Please sir, dissolve this marriage because if I continue to live with this woman, she will continue to have more children.

“I will be compelled to sell my remaining property, which is my house and then, become a beggar.”

Ayinde also accused his wife, who was not in the court of starving him and their children of food.

“My wife starves us of food. I always buy food stuff at home but she will never cook.

“If she managed to cook once in two weeks, the food is always tasteless. I don’t eat her food anymore because I vomit anytime I eat her food.”

The father of six also alleged that his wife was not washing his clothes and those of their children.

He said that he had employed a dry cleaner to wash clothes for him and his kids.

The President of the court, Mr Adegboyega Omilola, however, ordered bailiffs to serve Glory another summon for the next adjournment of the matter.
He adjourned the case until May 16 for further hearing.
